Stand Out As an Influencer With Your Prospects Using LinkedIn
by Kathy Bernard
Show that you’re an expert in your field by establishing a topical newsletter on LinkedIn. It costs nothing to do and is easy to start. From your LinkedIn homepage, click “Write article.” Next, choose whether to publish as you or as your company’s representative if you are a page admin for your organization’s LinkedIn page. A template will pop up where you can add a banner image, headline, article text, multiple images, and more.
Write about topics that readers will find interesting, such as how to buy or use products like yours, how to avoid costly mistakes, or how to choose a service provider. Make sure not to sound salesy or self-serving.
Once you publish your first article, LinkedIn will automatically create a newsletter overview page for you, where you can add a newsletter description and explain how often you plan to publish. You can see all your newsletter titles on this page to make it easy to find and share your article links.
Anyone can find and read your newsletter but encourage readership by introducing the link to each article as a post on your LinkedIn homepage newsfeed and ask coworkers to share your articles on their newsfeeds, too. Also, share your articles in relevant LinkedIn groups and on other social media. Choose to sponsor articles to better reach key prospects.
Your connections and followers will be invited by notification to subscribe to your newsletter. After that, subscribers will receive a notification and email whenever you write a new newsletter article.
