What’s the smartest thing your company did in the past year?
The smartest thing we did was invest in building our Managed Intelligence platform, which combines AI, business intelligence, and automation into a single solution for our clients. We saw that most businesses have critical data spread across multiple systems that don’t communicate with one another. Managed Intelligence unifies that information and makes it actionable through AI-powered insights and automation. Rather than adopting AI for the sake of following a trend, we focused on solving real business problems, helping organizations make faster decisions, reduce manual work, and operate more efficiently. We believe AI will be as transformative as the internet, and this investment positions both ThrottleNet and our clients for the future.
How do you differentiate your business from others in your industry?
We differentiate ourselves through a relentless focus on service, security, and innovation. Our average response time is less than one minute, which is significantly faster than industry standards. Cybersecurity is at the core of everything we do, and we’re proud that no client under our management has ever paid a ransomware demand. We also maintain dedicated teams focused on ethical hacking, cybersecurity, AI, and automation, giving our clients access to specialized expertise that many providers simply don’t offer. Most importantly, we never stop investing in new technologies and services that help our clients stay secure, productive, and ahead of the competition.
What have been the keys to success for the business?
The greatest key to our success has been empowering our employees to think and act like owners. We follow the principles of The Great Game of Business and open-book management, giving our team visibility into company performance and how their individual contributions impact results. Every team has measurable goals tied to profit sharing, creating accountability, engagement, and a shared commitment to success. When employees understand the business and have a stake in the outcome, they make better decisions for our clients and for the company. That culture of ownership has helped us attract outstanding people, deliver exceptional service, and achieve consistent growth over the years.
What is your best advice for other business owners to find success in business?
Focus on culture first. Great strategies and technologies can be copied, but a strong culture is much harder to replicate. Invest time in listening to your employees, measuring engagement, and creating opportunities for recognition and growth. At ThrottleNet, we conduct regular employee surveys and provide tools that allow team members to recognize and reward one another. This creates a workplace where people feel valued, heard, and connected to the company’s mission. When employees are engaged and empowered, they naturally deliver better results for clients and help drive long-term business success. In my experience, culture isn’t just part of the business; it is the foundation of the business.
