Engage Your Prospects Using LinkedIn's Creator Tools

by Kathy Bernard

LinkedIn’s creator tools give you three ways to engage with your audience. Access them on the left sidebar of your LinkedIn home page by clicking “Post impressions” and then Creator tools. From there, choose to use LinkedIn Live, Newsletters, or the Follow link option. (Note: If you’re not active on LinkedIn or aren’t a company page administrator, some options may be unavailable).

LinkedIn Live lets you broadcast live video content to a LinkedIn profile, page, or event. If you are new to video streaming, you’ll need a streaming tool to broadcast LinkedIn Live videos such as Restream, Socialive, StreamYard, Switcher Studio, or Vimeo. If you’re an advanced broadcaster, you can connect directly to any streaming software or encoder using a custom stream.

Newsletters lets you regularly publish articles about a professional topic and build a subscriber base. To get started, click “Write article” in the share box near the top of your homepage. If you’re a super admin or content administrator of a company page, you’ll see a dropdown where you can choose to publish as you or as a company representative. After publishing your first edition, LinkedIn will prompt you to invite your connections and followers to subscribe. Then, after each newsletter edition, push, in-app, and email notifications are sent to your subscribers to drive views.

The Follow link lets you grow your audience by sharing your personalized LinkedIn link or button to any of your channels or websites.
Start creating on LinkedIn and reach your audience!
