What is your mission?
I really want to create a great working environment for my employees and translate that into the best work we can produce for our clientele. We all have a great deal of knowledge and life experiences to share and through a collaborative work environment and respect, we can really become a family.

What was your first job?

When I was in high school I worked at my parent’s business, Library Limited, in Clayton. I was very much a utility player and would work the sales floor, the check-outs and even human resources. This job showed me about hard work and entrepreneurship which really prepared me for owning my own business.

What led you to your industry?
We have four generations of selling real estate in our family. I feel like I was destined to not just list and sell real estate, but also operate my own brokerage house. We are a family of realtors and are always talking business.

What was the smartest thing your company did in the past year?
This past year we started working with a Public Relations company and a Human Resources Consultant. We were able to effectively promote and brand our services and knowledge of St. Louis real estate. Additionally, we were able to grow our staff with great new agents that will continue into 2014.

Who is your industry role model?
For several reasons, Barbara Corcoran! She is an incredibly hard-worker and looks for new innovative ideas to try to increase business. I try to adapt many of those methods into my business.

How do you try to differentiate your business from others in your industry?
We work in a collaborative team approach. In our business model, we share tools and information with each other which makes us more successful. Through our technology-based systems, we are able to offer our listings an exclusive list of the most active St. Louisians searching for their next home.

What’s the hottest trend in your industry, and are you going to jump on board?
We have already adopted some of the great new things happening in real estate. We like to stay cutting-edge and have formed a mega team which consists of more than 15 people in the same office. We also work vigorously in maintaining a presence online, as many people are searching for their next home via the internet.

What’s the best part of your job?
We celebrate every success in our office! From showing your first house to closing a contract, we celebrate it all. I love seeing great success within the team and want them to know I share their own joys.

What best advice would you share with new entrepreneurs?
Dig-in to your industry, stay focused on your top 20% and PRIORITIZE!

What’s your favorite place in St. Louis?
Recreationally it is the St. Louis Zoo and for dinner, definitely Tony’s.

What book is on your nightstand?
