The Bridge BOOtique: Supporting Women-Owned Businesses

by Karen Stern

From 4 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 25, The Bridge BOOtique will feature nearly 50 women-owned businesses, providing a unique opportunity for community members to network and support local women business owners. Shoppers will find vendors offering apparel, shoes and jewelry; artwork; food; sewing and alterations services; custom embroidery; artisan goods; and more.

“We go out of our way to make our vendors feel welcome, with the goal being to build great community relationships. We are supporting our locally owned women retailers. It is a great place to do some holiday shopping, general gift buying or just good retail therapy!” said Robin Bell, partner in the Brown Smith Wallace Tax Services Group.

Five new vendors will be participating this year. “I am very excited about participating in The Bridge BOOtique! It will be a good opportunity to meet and connect with other women business owners and new customers. An event like this also helps the small-business community, which is often overlooked,” said Mia Turner with Jess MIA Collections, one of this year’s new vendors.

The BOOtique will be the 11th event in The Bridge series, which is part of the Brown Smith Wallace women’s initiative. The Bridge program is for professional women of all career stages and aims to connect women leaders of today and tomorrow through fun networking and professional development. Since 2014, thousands of women have attended the breakfast and fall shopping events.

The BOOtique is free to attend, but registration is requested. Sign up at brownsmithwallace.com/events-the-bootique-2018-registration.
