LinkedIn now provides advanced analytics when you post on your LinkedIn home page newsfeed as you or as a representative of your business. These analytics, which include Profile Activity, Follower Growth, and Link Engagement, can help you understand the real benefit of your posts on prospect behavior and grow your potential customer network.
For example, Profile Activity shows how many people visited your profile after engaging with a post, while Follower Growth tracks new followers gained from specific content. Premium users can also benefit from Link Engagement data, which reveals how often viewers click on external links like websites or newsletters.
To take advantage of these enhanced insights:
- Use these analytics to improve your content strategy by identifying which posts drive the most profile visits and follower growth.
- Boost your engagement by observing which types of content — text, video, or image — garner the most interactions and tailor your future posts accordingly.
- Track your return on investment (ROI) by measuring the effectiveness of your various calls-to-action to determine which approaches generate the most traffic to your website or blog.
To access these analytics, click “View analytics” on a recent post. From there, explore these new metrics, plus social engagement (reactions, comments, and reposts), and post-viewer demographics, including viewer’s location, company size, title, industry, and seniority.
By giving you these additional tools, LinkedIn’s new analytics let you make data-driven decisions, build stronger connections, and grow your professional and business presence on the world’s largest business network -- LinkedIn.
